Yet another American Idol from 2008 has released a single. David Archuleta is now in iTunes and Amazon with Crush.

I’m not sure that the song is amazing, but Archuleta fans will like it.

Congratulations go out to David Cook. I was able to watch the final voting show, but not the finale. I then scrambled to find out who one on Thursday morning. Excited, and surprised, to see David Cook won!

If you’d like to grab Davids first single, Time of My Life, it’s available on iTunes or Amazon for only $0.99. iTunes has some other good Cook songs including Dream Big, Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For and Time Of My Life.
Archuleta fans also have a few songs to download too if they’d like.
It’s down to the final two. David vs David. Boy vs Man. Bartender vs Student.

I’ve been saying for a while that David Archuleta would win it all, but now I’m not so sure. David Cook is looking pretty good and I do like his style. You know, that rocker Daughtry style.
The big finale is next week and I won’t be able to see it! I’ll be on vacation, but will keep an eye on who wins.
Either way, it’ll be a good choice. Both are very talented, but I’m kind of leaning towards David Cook right now.
Who are you leaning towards? Or are you possibly undecided?!
Every week the judges say that it’s all about song choice. They burn this idea into contestants heads and judge harshly when the wrong song is chosen. However, is it really about song choice? I doubt it.
We’ve seen many contestants choose horrible songs and still make it through. As we get closer to the end, I think song choice becomes less and less important. Sure, maybe in the begining song choice is important, but after a few weeks, it’s more about popularity.
Popularity is key. If the crowd at home likes you, you could forget the lyrics, or start the song over, and still not be voted out. I believe that David Archuleta forgot the words one week and no one cared. Katharine McPhee did too and she got second place. And then there was Sanjaya. Why he lasted as long as he did had nothing to do with talent.
So is American Idol a talent contest? Yes, but to a point. It’s more of a popularity contest overall.
If you ever get on Idol, prove you can sing in the beginning, be nice to people and remember the fans are home are picking early favorites. Once you have the fans, you may just get a free pass on a future screw-up.
17 year old David Archuleta is heating up American Idol. In only the second week of the top 24 the crowd is going wild. Girls screaming, fans on their feet and judges calling him brilliant.
So what is it about David that makes him so special?
Even at 11, when David met up with season 1 finalist Kelly Clarkson, she was shocked at how well he could sing. I wonder if she still remembers him.

So, does David have this in the bag? It’s a bit early to say, but he is by far one of the best this season so far!
