It may not be the best duet ever, but Chris Daughtry and Dane Cook had some fun with this duet.

Chris does such an amazing job that I almost like his version more than the original. It’s also less annoying.

It seems like forever since Daughtry’s first album landed, but the wait for a new album is almost over. Daughtry will premier their new song, “No Surprise”, on American Idol on May 6th and the new album lands in stores July 14th 2009.

I did a quick search on iTunes, but no new “No Surprise” by Daughtry download just yet. Maybe next week?

Daughtry’s first album is now out in deluxe mode and included is a brand new song called Feels Like the First Time.

The is a great re-make of the Foreigner song. A must have for any Daughtry fan.

The video ties the song into first time voters in a push to get more people out the polls.

It’s down to the final two. David vs David. Boy vs Man. Bartender vs Student.  

I’ve been saying for a while that David Archuleta would win it all, but now I’m not so sure.  David Cook is looking pretty good and I do like his style. You know, that rocker Daughtry style.

The big finale is next week and I won’t be able to see it! I’ll be on vacation, but will keep an eye on who wins.  

Either way, it’ll be a good choice. Both are very talented, but I’m kind of leaning towards David Cook right now.

Just a year or two ago, a guy named Chris Daughtry was the rocker on American Idol. He was solid each week and a huge fan favorite.  But, Chris failed to make it into the top three!  Is David Cook headed the same direction?

Chris and David are similar in more ways than one.  They are both the rocker type and both have been praised over and over again on Idol.  Both are calm and cool and confident without showing it.  Both appear very personable and their voices distinct.  There are a lot of fans who who think that they can’t go wrong.  However, Chris found and early end to his American Idol career and David could be next.

If David Cook does go home, it’ll re-enforce the idea that a rocker can’t win American Idol.  Then again, who needs to win?

Chris Daughtry’s first album has been extremely successful selling more than 1 million copies after just 5 weeks of release!  He’s also the fourth most successful American Idol and he didn’t even make the top three.

If I were a betting man, I’d say that the 2008 finale of American Idol will be David vs David.  However, as the show proves over and over again, there is no way to know for sure.  We’ll all just have to wait and see.
