How can you not like Renaldo Lapuz? His original song, You Are My Brother, is the first hit single from American Idol this season. The chances that you’ll be hearing it for the next few weeks on the radio is pretty good. William Hung made it big, and this guy is much better.

Grab the popcorn and get ready for two hours of all new American Idol episodes! Now begins the journey to the top and the two hour shows are fun for everyone.

From good singers to bad wannabes, sad stories to weird costumes and happy contestants to pissed off people; they are all back tonight!

The road to Hollyweird is almost as fun as the road to the top.

Who’s ready for some football IDOL?

A lot of people have been asking about the 2009 American Idol auditions and it’s just to early.

Usually audition cities and dates get announced after the previous season. And, since the 2008 season hasn’t even started yet, the info for 2009 auditions hasn’t been released.

Work on your voice, do some performances in front of the public and continue to refine your technique. Then, when the auditions do come around, you’ll be ready.

You may have noticed that the writers strike has been taking TV shows out one at a time. Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Prison Break and many more will soon be off the air or in repeats. But not American Idol!

With the season premier getting oh so close, it will be one of the few shows on television with all new episodes. Not only that, but reality TV writers are not a part of the writers strike so American Idol will not be affected.

Could this season be the biggest yet? Well, with most other competing TV shows off the air or in reruns, it may be just to easy to bring in millions of viewers.

Have you seen the commercials for American Idol 2008? They seem to be classier than in the past. They focus on creating superstars and success.

In previous years, they focused more on the horrible auditions to draw viewers in. I think the updated commercials are a nice touch, but those that can not sing will show up soon enough.

I really wish I had an example to post here, but I can’t find one on the net. The one I liked the most showcased different singers and the Hollywood skyline. They all looked like superstars already and they could all sing!

Is there more talent this year than in past? It’s hard to tell, but we’ll all find out soon enough!
