New American Idol – Best Band Search

American Idol announced that they are now searching the nation for the best un-discovered band/group.
Any music style, any age, anything goes. They’ll give you the chance to show your stuff!!
The show, tentatively titled ‘The Best Band Search’ is in the beginning stages and there aren’t many details. What we do know is that it’s American Idol for bands/groups.

Personally, I don’t think that they are going to be as open as they say with EVERY genre of music. A band going on and playing country music would be more accepted than, say, a grindcore/metal band. When they except different genres of music, that’ll be the day I’ll actually watch the show the whole season. I think they’re closed minded, for a show searching for an “American Idol”.
I agree. It’s hard to compare a hard rock band against a country band. But then again, they do it in Idol. Rockers and divas and a bit of everyone.
